Here are descriptions of all the places in the Silver Forest Wolf Pack.
I suggest you read through all these if you are new and want to know what we are talking about and know what places your character can go and places they shouldn't.
The territory of the Silver Forest Wolf Pack is extensive and varied, as is the land that stretches far beyond it.
The Den
The den of the Silver Forest Wolf Pack is located in the eastern part of the territory, not in the very edge, but certainly not in the center of the region either. One of the only clearings in the Silver Forest is located directly in front of the den, which makes up one side of the large clearing. A vertical rock wall covers one side of the clearing, reaching up for hundreds of feet until it levels abruptly off. A thick, rich green moss covers most of this rock wall, its life supported by small streams that are constantly trickling down the rock wall. The den entrance is about 9 feet tall and the edges have been worn smooth by hundreds of years of water running past them. Now rivets have been carved all the way around the half circle of rock so that any water running down from above it was channeled to the sides of the hole so that nothing falls into the den.
Inside the Den
Inside the den the rock floor, which is padded with soft dirt, stretches for about 15 feet back until you come to two small divides. Both are much smaller then the entrance, only about 5 feet tall each and four feet wide. If you pad into the right-hand side, you will come to the private sleeping area of the Alpha male and female. None other then the alphas and their direct pups are allowed in here unless an alpha invites another in. To the left and you will come to a place where sick or hurt wolves are kept. It is occasionally used to keep prisoners under guard as well.
The Clearing
The clearing surrounds the den on all sides except for one, the side that holds the rock wall. It was the chosen spot for the Silver Forest pack to make their home, not only for the perfect den, but because the clearing surrounding it had its own natural wall. Tangled, thick, thorn bushes five feet tall grow all the way around the edge of the clearing. Nothing can get through without making a lot of noise and getting various, painful scratches all over their body. The first two alphas of the Silver Forest pack managed to create a small partially hidden hole in the thick barrier so the pack could slip out when needed and be protected from enemies. The rest of the clearing is covered with soft dirt and grass in some places. In the very center is a large boulder that has three natural steps to the flat top so that two wolves could comfortably lie down atop it. This is the place where alphas can make announcements to the pack or just lay and enjoy themselves. As it is with the alphas’ den, none other then the alphas and their direct pups are allowed on top unless invited by an alpha.
Silver Forest
Silver Forest is also known as the Hunting Area. This forest is huge and stretches on for nearly a hundred miles. The many species of trees all tower above the floor of the forest, which is rocky and full of hills as well as trenches. The branches and leaves are so thick they end up blocking out most of the light, giving the Forest an eerie darkness, even on the brightest days. Often times, from lack of sun, thick mists will cover the ground and fill the air, making it hard to see far distances. Odd noises are often heard, though the sources are never discovered. The wind plays tricks with sounds, weaving through dead branches and under protruding roots and making sounds seem as if they come from one way and then another. The Forest is filled with many different kinds of game and many things unknown. It is a slightly magical place and odd things have been said to happen here. Certainly not a place to be alone in for a long time, unless you were born in its depths and know some of its secrets. It would be impossible to learn everything there is to know about this magical place, even if you spent an entire lifetime at it. Often two or three wolves will hunt together for protection against known dangers and, sometimes, unknown ones as well.
Grey Mountains
The lower altitude Grey Mountains
The Higher Altitude Grey Mountains
No one knows why these are called the Grey Mountains because they are only shaded many different colors of brown, with a few streaks of gray here and there. The lower altitude mountains have small shrubs growing over them, but the greatest are no more then a foot high, providing no shelter. The Grey Mountains span only around a mile across, but their peaks soar up into the cloud lines, and so are impossible to cross, unless you know the hidden passages and therefore can travel in the network of caves that web out below them. A member of the Silver Forest Pack has yet to find the entrance to these caves or a way around the Mountains, so no one knows what is on the other side. The Grey Mountains separate the Plains and parts of the Silver Forest from whatever lies beyond, like a giant wall, stretching on in both directions for hundreds and hundreds of miles.
